This was me back in March or so with a 100-102.4 fever that came out of nowhere. For normal people, it’s not a big deal because they have the cortisol levels that come and kick the virus’s Ass and the immune system kicks in. However, with having such low cortisol levels and not a fantastic functioning pituitary gland (because of surgery), my levels were not high enough to fight the virus without some hydrocortisone. It’s important to know that you need to triple your dosage of hydrocortisone when you have a 102 fever or above (eventually going to the hospital if it gets too high), and doubling your dose when it’s 100.4-102. Without this boost, it could be fatal. Always be aware of how you’re feeling. My mom and sister told me I was over reacting at first when I started gettin the chills and not feeling well, but as the night went on I knew my temperature went up. Sure enough, I was right. Remember, only you know your body. Take care of it when something feels off. • • • #cushingsdisease #cushings #fever #flu #virus #takecareofyourself #bedridden #sick #pituitarytumor #pituitarygland #pituitary #lowcortisol #hydrocortisone #adrenaldeficiency #teamcushing #imnotfatimcushy #warm
