The friend group here, because most everyone here is friends with each other (not just me), is doing a Secret Santa this winter-holiday-of-multiple-types.

(Later on in the agenda is "so who all is participating?" but I'm explaining what and how first so people know what they're volunteering for.  :P )

Out of the people who want to play, I'll be putting names in a figurative hat and assigning you all a random person.  They won't be 'pairs', so like...  If Zuko is giving a present to Gaara, Gaara probably isn't giving a present to Zuko.

And some time between the 19th and the 30th, because holidays be CRAZY irl and we all know this.  Whenever you can / it's convenient / whatever / just before New Year's please...

You give some type of internet-transferrable present to your person.

What kind of presents would be acceptable?

Anything that you can give them without having to ask them for an IRL shipping address.  Art, fic, song remixes, videos, layouts, literally anything.  Literally anything you can give them via the internet.  This is going to be a nice and laid back secret santa, no 'it has to be exactly this awesome and no less and no more'.

I mean, I know when IRL groups do a 'Secret Santa' thing, there's usually a "spend X much money and not more and not less" so that that one rich person doesn't get their person a car and make everyone else feel like their gifts were worthless.

This is the internet, nobody's spending money, and more importantly, no one here is a flaming asshat.  You're putting effort into making something for your person, and I know every person here is going to be grateful for what they're given, even if they don't like it, because it's nice to know that someone took the time to make them something.

So yeah, we're dispensing with 90% of the major 'rules' of Secret Santa events and replacing it with a two point rule system: >Give your present between the 19th and the 30th. >Don't be an asshole.

And I trust everyone in here already knew the second one and didn't really need told that ANYWAY.

So, you have until the 10th to decide if you want to participate or not.  I know that kind of cuts it close for time to make presents if you want to give them on the 19th, but it is kind of late already and I need to give all those people that aren't online right exactly now a chance to get in on this.

If you woulllld, post to the Team Azula tag saying you're in on the secret santa and blither a little bit about what kind of stuff you might like.

As well as tell me, so I can be sure I've got everyone / the tag isn't hiding posts / etc.

On the 10th, I'll assign everyone their person and you can get to work doing stuff!

Also I need a volunteer who wouldn't mind making something for two people.  You'll be getting stuff from two people as well in exchange for the extra effort.

I guess I should clarify something else.  If you want to commission someone to make something for your person, that's okay too.
