Hasook/Shady Shin RP with team-player-hasook
dontmesswithtesla:
Shin had colonized the table in Narook's noodle shop, trying to drown his sorrows in cheap carbs. He noticed Hasook from across the room sitting alone and gestured for him to come over and join him. Hasook walked over cautiously and took a seat. "Hey kid. I'm Shinook, but you can just call me Shin. I saw you were sittin' all by your lonesome. I figured I've eaten enough noodles already and I could use some company right now. What's your name?" (ooc: Shady Shin is 24 in headcanon, hasook = 18)
team-player-hasook:
Hasook walked over to the table that was occupied by the man. Shin seemed tired, well, exhausted actually. Hasook had no idea what it must be like to have your one talent since birth - bending - ripped from you like that, it must be awful. Hasook pushed aside a couple of empty glasses and bowls so that he could actually see Shinās face, and Shin could see him.
Hasook held out his hand politely and said āHi Sir, nameās Hasookā Shin merely pushed aside Hasookās hand with a seemingly drunken shove and instead just sat there staring at Hasook. He felt like Shin was examining him with his eyes, taking in every little detail he could. Hasook couldnāt help but feel vulnerable in front of someone who had such a strong reputation, but then he also felt so sorry for Shin for then losing that reputation. There was a long silence where nothing happened save for Hasook nervously glancing around. To break the awkwardness Hasook timidly said āSo uhm, Iām sorry to hear about the wholeā¦yāknowā¦Amon thingā¦ā everyone would have known about it, even the great Lightning Bolt Zolt had his bending taken away, it was a scary thought. Hasook hoped he hadnāt hit a raw nerve or pushed it too far, it seemed as though anything would be capable of shattering Shinās already destroyed confidenceā¦
(((Oh my god this is so canon it hurts. TO THE OTP SHACK #fliesaway)))

Shin looked across the table at the waterbender who'd taken a seat with him. Ā He pushed himself up on is haunches into an upright position, brushing the half-eaten noodles off of his coat. Ā Taking a cursory glance at the empty dishes in front of him, Shin was somewhat disgusted with how much he'd eaten. Ā Not saying a word, he grabbed a few of the dishes and stacked them up on the side of the table, clearing the space between him and the younger man. Ā He cleared his throat before saying something. "Don't be sorry, man. Ain't your fault. Trust me, I've gone ova the night countless times in my head. Ain't nothin' I coulda done differently." Ā Shin shrugged and sighed, "And you can drop the Shady, just call me Shin. The Triple Threats are done." Ā
He could tell that Hasook was a very cautious about interacting with him. Ā This kid was just tiptoeing around what had happened, trying not to hit a nerve.Ā Kid? Who am I kidding? Hasook can't be more than a few years younger than me. On that note, he's kinda cute in his own goofy way. He kinda reminds me of that doofus Bolin.Ā "So you said yer name's Hasook, is that right? Well Hasook, would you like somethin' to eat or drink? Narook and I go way back so I get a pretty copacetic discount." Ā He smirked and raised an eyebrow, trying to use the suave charm that had landed him his spot as the Triple Threat's recruiter. His jacket wasn't the stunning cerulean it had been when he first bought it, but in his own opinion he still looked like 10 million Yuans in it. Shin wasn't exactly sure what to think of the boy, but he figured that offering him some food or something to drink would be a nice way to test the waters, no pun intended. Ā While he was in the Triads, Shin tried to avoid relationships or even hookups for the other party's safety, but now that he had nothing else that the other gangs wanted, he might as well toss his hat back into the ring. Ā
(ooc: The parts in italics are Shin talking in his head. I figured you could just Reblog it as text and add as we go to make interactions easier. )
Rain @ team-player-hasook
Republic City was normally so warm, so humid and normally it burned with the rays of the sun that seemed to be āironically- magnified by the smog that created a small layer of gray clouds from car exhaust and the like. This time, though, it seemed to be the complete opposite; the sudden bout of summer rain chilled everyone to the bone, and as the people of the large and bustling city continued about on their daily routine shielded by umbrellas, coats, hats, and every other sort of accessory that kept them either warm, dry, or even both.
Rain, though, was something that may of the less fortunate people of Republic City couldnāt handle. While some were lucky enough to be shielded by their old blankets and the cardboard abodes that hid and kept them safe from the unforgiving weather of the seemingly infinite city. None of the normal vagrants could be seen, minus a small handful; one of them being a small girl that ran around the city and performed her usual jobs as if the rain were some sort of illusion.
It was all she could do to keep warm, though. Her thin jacket had been soaked through and clung to the girlās slight form like a second skin, her long, raven hair that āon a dry day flowed behind her like a sort of capeā hit her back gently at each stop, every preparation to jump across the roofs of the tall buildings that was one of the cityās factors of fame. Mint green eyes darted back and forth as the girl maneuvered herself down the fire escape of her designated building; the door opening as she reached the ground and closing as soon as she handed the chef his ingredients and gave a quick āhelloā and āgoodbyeā.
That was the last of her jobs, though, and as she strolled amongst the crowd the young vagrant began to feel the complete effects of the bone-chilling rain. She placed her hands in her pockets; balling them up into tight fists as she clenched her teeth and refused to look like a lost puppy in need of help. Still, it would be nice if someone at least stopped to show some consideration, or someone who shared the same cold and near freezing feeling that she had.
Dammit Hasook! || @ team-player-hasook
Mako pulled his helmet off his head, throwing it off to the corner as he glared at the water-bender. "God damn it, Hasook!" He snapped, shoving him into the wall. "You almost made us lose that match!" Mako was playing the role of the annoyed team-mate, but he had to admit, as the boyfriend, the moves were pretty amazing. He growled and stalked out of the room, heading towards the showers.
