Did you even read that anon's post? They were freakin' addressing the environment on Twitter. Not the issue of Daryl being loved. Duh, of course he's loved. The negative energy on there comes from people who depise Carol and say the most disgusting things about her to the point where they even wish evil on the actress that plays her. But they were saying it's amazing to see how many people adore Carol in response to that. And it's true, they're right about that. I've been on there. #TeamCarol is a hashtag for a reason. Because she ain't getting the respect she deserves a lot of the time. Where have you been, under a rock? Daryl has been the most loved and popular character since the second season. Check the ratings. There was even a recent article that listed the 10 characters and Daryl Dixon came in at #1 again. His character is completely accepted and loved. Not Carol though so that's what they were posting about. "Some of us love him too" that's an understatement. Virtually everyone loves Daryl Dixon. How's that? Do you feel he's got enough love too, now?

Seriously though. Why is it when someone posts about Carol, there's one "Caryler" who wants to be weird? Anyone that loves Carol loves Daryl. Because those who love Carol actually want the best for her and want her to get what she wants. All of us have context to show that she wants to be with Daryl. So of course we love him, for her and as a character on his own. what do statements like the one you're making even mean? What a moot point.

I saw something on Twitter where AMC TWD was asking what we're looking forward to and our theories on what is to come in Season 11. You know what some people were talking about? The Rick Movies. Rick returning. Rick Grimes is not relevant to the question they were asking about season ELEVEN. He is not returning for the last season and anyone who keeps up with this franchise knows that. People choose to just say what they want to antagonize the poster and it's unnecessary.

A part of my mental illness is something called maladaptive daydreaming. I live in my head, I develop real lives in real situations that will never ever happen obviously but I live and pretend as though they are real. obviously, one of my daydreams was being a part of the show but in my head the show was real and if they coupled up it meant my maladaptive daydreaming couldn’t be real. I know it sounds crazy, hell, I am crazy. But that’s why I was so against it.

My doctors say that there’s nothing dangerous about the maladaptive daydreaming as long as I know that it only exists in my head and that it cannot ever live or exist in real life. It’s a boundary I’ve spent a long time setting up for my Self and I’m much better now. I literally just keep to journaling my day dreams  but it is a comfort to me and sometimes gets me through my severe anxiety attacks.

Full exposure confession; I think Carol and Daryl could be a couple. I do see what you guys see and I always saw it but I never wanted to admit it because I got so into all the nastiness and hatred and then when someone altered a picture of my dead dog and tried to get me fired from my job and all this other stuff, I just went all in on the crazy. I was so happy for this ship when they announced the spinoff show but another confession, I haven’t watched the show since Rick left. 

So anyway, that was the big motivator behind my being so horrible to all of you Caryl shippers. This isn’t an excuse but another adage to it is that I’ve been bullied my entire life and even though the bullying I experienced here was completely reactionary to the shit I was doing, I still felt put back into that place I was at in junior high. I’ve worked through that as well. I’m so sorry to all of you.

You sure about that? Take a look at episode 408 to see a BIG reason why it couldn't happen any earlier than season 9.

Everyone thought Daryl would go out looking for Carol right away. Of course The Governor abruptly interrupted everything at that moment, but I'm not sure we wouldn't be disappointed if he hadn't.

Daryl had an underwhelming reaction for the same reason that he's never had a romantic partner. His duty as the right hand was to Rick. The show needed his loyalty there because they wouldn't want to put him in a situation where Rick needs him, but he decides Carol needs him more. The right hand is often the most popular character, but their storyline is mostly dependent on the main character. That's why they often don't have love interests.

But the main character almost always does.

And who are the 2 mains now?
