hi there!! i've always been in awe of your gorgeous edits - is there any chance you could explain how to do the sparkly gif overlay thing on images? (or sparks, smoke, etc.) like where to find those templates/how to use them? i recently downloaded gimp & i'm a total newbie at making edits, but any insight you can offer would be so awesome!! I would love to help you, but Iām using Photoshop. I havenāt used GIMP in 8 years or so. I just downloaded it to see if I can figure it out but I really donāt know how to put the overlay gifs over the pictures, like I do in PS :/ All I get are streaks, instead of sparks. I figured out how to make gifs (combining multiple pictures to create a gif), but not the overlay gifs. Iām really sorry! I really wish I could help you there :(
As for finding the gifs, you can just search forĀ āoverlay gifsā orĀ āgif overlaysā here on tumblr or google! Here or here for example!

A lot of her work is based online, she does a lot of video calls and phone calls to complete interviews when someone is not in town or has a schedule that is incompatible with meeting in a prearranged location. She is also part of the junior writing team which means she isnāt getting a lot of in-person interviews anyway. She gets this opportunity when her roommate who has a higher position at the company recommends Chessie to take over one of her interviews when she is unable to attend.Ā
Chessie deals with sensory overload in a few ways, but one of them is that she has a vaporizer pen and self medicates with some cannabis products (CBD primarily) to ease anxiety and keeps her calm. She has ear plugs/headphones and sunglasses for light and sound overstimulation, but those donāt happen as much as her eating related sensory issues. Not having gum with her after meals has resulted in panic attacks. She also sometimes goes nonverbal when sheās overstimulated.
Her stims are usually tactile related, soft items are what she likes to stim with, and having a weighted blanket is one of her favourite things. If she doesnāt have anything to play with and occupy her hands she bounces a little, plays with her hair (which is very curly) and just distracts herself with her phone. I actually havenāt thought about her specialized interests that muchā she really enjoys her job which is focused on lifestyle and wellness, she likes knowing about skincare and general health but isnāt anything of a fitness bunny. Once she begins her relationship with Gemma she definitely begins finding and wanting to learn more about BDSM.Ā

it seems like i always end up writing either in the evening or right before i need to go to bed. not the most healthy practice lol.Ā
Deer - What do you enjoy reading most?
i mean i really like horror, even though iām super picky about it. itās also the reason i like writing horror. the other thing i like reading is where a character could be dealing with like a problem youād deal with in everyday life, with the added stress of another thing relating to the real world drama situation but itās a problem that happens to be paranormal. let me explain.
ex: thereās this book i read in high school (i think?) called wintergirls by laurie halse anderson and in the book the mc deals with her eating disorder, self-harm, her parentās divorce, her best friendās death (due to her own eating disorder). the twist is the mc can see ghosts, and her best friend starts haunting her bc she wants the mc to join her. that shit fucked me up. now i write fics with mental illness coexisting with paranormal stuff to cope.Ā
(iām half kidding, half serious. this book is not a masterpiece by any means but it had a big impact on me. i mean i still read it sometimes bc itās still that wild.)
