The “Green Apple Award Program” was created by the Demas Law Group to assist local classrooms by rewarding exceptional teachers in our community.  A weak economy and decreased school budgets have forced teachers to spend more of their own earnings to continue making their classroom an enriching environment. Teachers in the United States spent more than $1.33 billion out of pocket on supplies and instructional materials in the 2010-2011 school year alone.

The Demas Law Group created the Green Apple Award Program to recognize our local public school teachers for their commitment, and to ease the financial burden they may face in providing supplies for their classrooms.  Each week, one teacher from Carmichael, Citrus Heights, Davis, Elk Grove, Fair Oaks, Folsom, North Highlands, Orangevale, Rancho Cordova, Rocklin, Roseville, West Sacramento, Sacramento or Woodland public schools will be selected through a nomination process to receive the “Green Apple Award”. The winner will receive a $100 OfficeMax gift card to assist with purchasing classroom supplies.

How Does the Green Apple Award Program Work?

Each month, one teacher from Sacramento, Yolo, Placer, and El Dorado County public schools will be selected through a nomination process to receive the “Green Apple Award”. The winner will receive a $250 OfficeMax gift card to assist with purchasing classroom supplies.

Exceptional teachers can be nominated by friends, colleagues, administrators, parents, and students. The more nominations, the better. Nominations can be submitted online at the following website: http://www.injury-attorneys.com/school-supply-gift-program.html

Only teachers who work in the areas listed above are eligible to apply.

Winners and their principals will be notified via email and phone.

Teachers will be eligible to win only once per school year.
