at their core my frisk interpretation's character arc is about growing up and letting go. they have to leave the underground. they have to let go of their power over the timeline. they have to accept they cant stay young and small and irresponsible forever. they cant live life carelessly and without interaction and connection with the people around them. they might grow up one day. they'll wear nice clothes, and tend to their responsibilites, and do their chores. but chances are, they'll never stop looking back every so often. yearning for a time that they can't go back to, cause it would cost them everything they've built up over the years. the real struggle is fighting the urge. everyday. it hurts, it may never get easier, but with time and experience and determination, they'll look up one day, and realize their life has grown so much more vast than it was when they were younger. it grows around that unshakable grief for those old precious memories of the underground, and of chara.... i want frisk to find that peace one day. there is something beautiful in the life they are currently living, and they're never going to be alone
