Markets are places where different goods get sold, and these goods in terms of quality and price. People come here to fulfill their needs and wants. These markets have a fixed location and are permanent; they are registered and are playing tax and Income tax return to the government as they are buying from registered dealerships, the government is even monitoring the transaction of their business. These markets established under the commercial space Act. These markets situated in places which are easily accessed and is familiar by the public. Due to these lives in both urban and rural areas have become comfortable.

Urban areas are those in which there is no or very less agriculture. Here people migrate from different cites, towns, and villages for earning better; there is very less social discrimination. In urban areas the cost of living is more than that of rural areas, it's mostly populated as it has lots of industries which opens lots of job opportunities for people. The expenses are more.

In Urban areas, their come weekly markets,  these markets which happen once a week, it is a platform for the rural people to sell their products. Shopkeepers spread out sheets to display their products and sell them. The shops start in the morning and continue till evening or late evening. The shops are not permanent. They do not pay any taxes to the government. They buy tickets from the MCD to put up their stalls. They are bringing rural to urban as they make fresh from farm items available. These markets are generally happening in common areas, which are very familiar and is convenient for people to approach; it also creates lots of congestion for people, not a part of the market. How does the shopkeeper have the same spots every time? How are the people affected? These markets are systematic in a way like one area; there are only a vegetable market and one area with only household items.

The snack shops are heavily crowded, particularly by children and women. Besides these shops, some hawkers sell different items of daily needs. The weekly market offers them an excellent opportunity to have a great business. Such markets are especially useful for those who live in far off places. They can buy their essential items at a reasonable rate here in a weekly market. These markets have comparatively fewer prices from the standard market and customs bargain for getting products at a relatively lower price. It completely transforms the place into a different outlook which enlightens that area. They believe in selling volumes, due to which they can earn more, and they can recover the cost. This market is considered illegal, yet it's being allowed. A case between the weekly market vendors and the MCD is going on in the Supreme Court regarding the allotment of space. This market mostly removes social discrimination by allowing people to commence commerce reasonably.

Among the two chosen topics, "market" was which keened me the most. Markets have been something I am interested throughout my life market is a place where I spend my money and get my desires fulfilled. Every market has its own culture and identity, which differs it from one another; among them, the most interesting is how weekly markets affect that place.

Weekly markets are those which take place on a particular day, they don't have a proper space, and they can be shifted any time, anywhere, there are various commodities which are at a very nominal rate. These market are spread out in almost every locality, and people of different economic background come here to shop. These markets eliminate social discrimination by allowing people of different caste and religions to comment commerce fairly. The advantage of this market is, it's open, so any customer passing by can have a smooth look at the products, it is more democratic and accessible, as it allows smooth functionality of trade and it can be easily accessed as it takes place on common ground.

Urban Markets are places where there are adequately defined shops in which there are fixed prices and fewer chances of the bargain. Here there is a formal mechanism where every purchase is billed, and if the product doesn't satisfy, you can return it within a period.

Weekly markets enrich the urban space as for a day it completely transforms the place into a different outlook which enlightens that area into a place of joy looking from the shopkeeper's perspective; it is effortless to dismantle the shop as they occupy very less space and has almost no infrastructure due to which it can dismantle easily. There is very less rent due to which they can sustain themselves. They believe in selling volumes, due to which they can earn more, and they can recover the cost.
