     “think you can lock up the shop for me tonight? i’m ending my shift early, already told boss that i’m taking off before closing.” she’s been managing to work overtime for the past two weeks to get some extra cash in her pocket, and now that it’s the weekend again she’s overdue for a night of drinking and dancing with her girls. she hated having to ask the other for favors - especially when they already do so much for her already, but she figured that this one time couldn’t hurt much... especially if she begs. “you know i’ll make it up to you. i’ll cover your late shift next week and whatever else you want, alright? so please?” | for @tcnic

          the biggest game of the season was an event worthy of a night out to the town, watching the game from the pubs downtown with an atmosphere that got your heart pumping, your blood boiling and your mind buzzing. clad in the jersey of his favourite team, he’d bitten his nails all throughout the match down to the last second in the hopes they would take home the win   —   even the crossed fingers had not seemed to help, however, as luck wasn’t on their side that day. the loss still left alvaro with a bitter taste in his mouth. despite the mixed reactions from the crowd that he has immersed himself in, he swore that the referee should have called that one foul in the first half. as if that one moment in the match could have turned everything around. an optimist at heart, alvaro wanted to believe that would’ve been the case. invested in his own theories about the potential outcome of the games, he had not even noticed how all the eyes of others had flickered in the direction of the door.   “   mierda ... i am just saying, none of those guys would’ve stood a chance if the ref just—   ”   if only he had noticed the presence of the figure behind him. others would have urged him to choose his words more carefully, perhaps.

There was something about the sound of heels on tile that pleased her. And as she stepped closer to the other, the echo of her movements ran their way right up her spine. Despite her short stature, Ayda stood tall, shoulders squared. Chin lifted with a sense of confidence only she could wear as well as she did - there were no reservations within her whenever she saw something, or someone, she wanted. “I’ve caught you staring twice now, i hope one of those was you trying to picture me with my clothes off.”

    Sam knows it's wrong to use Nathalia, but if he didn't bring some girl to a sermon once every couple of months questions would start coming up. Questions like: Where'd your girlfriend go, when are we gonna see some pretty girl hanging off of you, son? Questions Sam couldn't really answer because he was gay. So, holding her hand while they sat in the wooden pews was something he had to tolerate. He's staring up at his father as he spoke to everyone in the church. It was so much to live up to and every Sunday when he listened to his wise words, Sam would take a deep breath and hate himself a little bit more. Even as he stands from the pews he can feel the weight of the world on him. His collar was too tight and he could barely breathe. He's waiting for everyone to file out to reconvene with his parents when his eyes catch those of someone who clearly doesn't not belong here, but it wasn't Sam's nature to talk to people like that, so he instead ducks his head, avoiding the handsome man's eyes.
