With how full his day-to-day schedule was, it was bloody impressive how much time Tai still managed to find to think about Caspar. Their conversation in the woods a couple weeks ago just kept coming back to him– he was sure he did the right thing for himself by choosing not to go home with his friend, but that didn’t help the nerves about how short Caspar’s replies had been to him over text. The right thing to do was to just get over him– it was well obvious they were on two different pages– but ten years had made it clear that getting over his feelings for Caspar was easier said than done.
So here he was, letting himself into the Morpheus townhouse barely twenty minutes after Caspar had texted him to come over. Come on, his willpower could only go so far. And it had been weeks since they had hung out! Maybe his crush had gone away in that time anyway and everything was gonna be fine!
“Cosmo?” Tai called out, one hand on the railing beside the staircase while he figured out whether he was meant to go upstairs or not. “Knock knock, where y’at, mate?”
