The little goober! I'm a big fan of Minish Cap including how small, cute, and bouncy Link and Zelda are so I tried to incorporate that in a way. Mini's just a little boy with a fancy feathery cape to jump and fly around town, free as a bird

Here’s a list of the meaning behind each hero’s (and Zelda/counterpart’s) names:

Hero (Hylia’s hero, first of the hero's spirit)

Starting off strong we have Hero. He was the first mentioned in the Skyward Sword manga and the source of the Hero’s spirit that runs through every subsequent hero of courage. Coincidentally, his favorite food is also sandwiches.

This title was bestowed upon him by the goddess Hylia and carries a lot of weight for him so he goes by Hero. His non-Zelda counterpart is Hylia Herself, who simply uses Her own name.

Chosen (The Chosen Hero, hero of the skies)

Similar to Hero, this Link was the first chosen by Hylia’s reincarnation, Zelda. He simply goes by his hero title, granted to him by the sword spirit Fi, who he has yet to part with.

Chosen sees his Zelda not just a reincarnation of the goddess but also his true love, his light, his everything, his fated, his destiny. Thus he chooses to nickname her Destiny. She chose him but it was destiny that brought them together in the first place. He likes to tell the others it’s because it compliments his own nickname nicely, but everyone knows better. She thinks it’s sweet.

Mighty (the hero of men) grants the sword spirit her freedom when he is gifted the blade and uses it to defeat the Remnants of Demise alongside the leader Valorie. Mighty doesn’t know much about Valorie outside of her combat skill and that her ancestor was a reincarnation of Hylia. Fi, however, seems to resonate with Valorie and pledges herself to the leader with her newfound freedom. (This is likely because of the remnants of the triforce lying dormant within the young Hylian descendant, aka the light force that grants Valorie her combat power, courage in battle, and strategical wisdom).

Meanwhile the Picori Blade, without its sword spirit to embody and take care of it, diminishes slightly in strength over time. This is unbeknownst to the Minish that gift it to Mighty nor the hero who uses it to bind the Remnants to the Bound Chest. Thus when Mini (hero of the Minish) has to reforge the blade into the Four Sword next, he has to drawn upon the sacred light of the four Elementals. This grants him the power of four and the ability to create three fragile, temporary clones of himself. But it doesn’t last forever…

Without a sword spirit to regulate its power, the Four Sword must rely on the nearest source of strength it can find. So by the time Four (hero of the four sword) draws the blade, it relies on their Hero’s Spirit to fuel its power. As a result, it splits Four’s soul into pieces, an attempt to maintain the light clone ability. Each split Link is represented by a different aspect of Four’s person and this is how Red, Green, Blue, and Vio Link come about (he’s not the best at coming up with names). It absolutely fractures Four’s being. As much as he tries to piece himself together and avoid splitting, his patchwork soul can never be fully mended and restored. It gives him splitting (ha) headaches and pain that he desperately hides to resemble some sense of normalcy again.
