@fvk-destiny sent: “ “words can’t express everything a person feels." for Krouzil or Taz”
“With a little more feeling this time! Gods above Lambert, you’d think you’d never been in love before with the way you recite lines.” Taz was, for the most part, joking as he goaded the other man on--a freebie with the offer of helping the teacher prepare for the first night of rehearsals. He’d finally convinced the board to allow him to present his own play for the spring production after trying to slide it into the curriculum for the past two years as head of the drama department. It was only after a petition by students that his work had finally slid into the ‘okay’ pile and he was able to finally cast his beloved students into one of his own works.
Of course he wanted there to be something to go off of, since the play wasn’t exactly one meant to be put on by high schoolers despite some light adapting to make it ‘appropriate’, and had enlisted the help he could at such short notice. Lambert had, unfortunately, been at arms length, which had placed him front and center.
“Again, but this time look at me and say it like you mean it. Like you’ve been trying for years to tell me you love me and the words just never come out right. You’re frustrated, maybe even angry..! Ready to make me understand. Okay? I’ll start--” Taz, impassioned, stood across from Lambert on the empty stage, only a few of the stage lights on in an otherwise dark and empty auditorium. He cleared his throat.
“I don’t understand... you’ve never once said anything about having feelings for me. How am I meant to believe that you love me after all this time treating me like I was just another friend to you? A brother, nothing more.” His eyes were full of hope, expectation.
