Anyway, if you listen to “You Need To Calm Down” which is kinda cringey at times, it at least makes the good point to stop pitting random successful female singers against each other, so Scottie should probably sit all the way down anyway.

Oh well, Cascada had one of the most successful dance hits of all time, and Taylor Swift’s album is #1 in literally almost every single country right now. [And kudos to her because Scottie’s free publicity got me to stream it all on Spotify.]

The real takeaway here (that interests me as a music grad student) is that it still baffles me how (abled) people have the same capacity to hear sound, yet our personal tastes vary so widely that we can listen to the same exact music and have wildly different reactions to it

I guess “unpopular opinions” (god I HATE that term) may bring forward some antis. Even if you’re stating your opinion in your own posts and no one else’s. For instance liking Loki with… short hair too (omg the SHAME!), understanding Odin’s choices, loving Thor as much as you love Loki, not being into the Jotun concubine wear (or the whole “that’s the one true Loki and Loki hates being an Asgardian” mentality), refusing to believe Loki was a perfect angel and a victim of racism in the family who rescued and raised him as a prince (honestly, some people just don’t know what true racism feels like…). Also not believing for a moment Chris has grown truly cold towards Tom, being vocal about Tom’s (or his publicist’s) poor PR choices and overexposure, or even… shipping Taika with Chris occasionally.Uuuuuh ok. I guess..? o__O

Wanna know a secret? There are no “unpopular opinions”. The minute you accept that term you accept defeat. You accept that you comply by what the majority expects you to say or do. You believe in a “democracy” so twisted, a forceful, loud majority who decides for the rest of us, that it has turned to fascism. There are no unpopular opinions and don’t let the hate tagging or the possessive hi-jacking of posts indimidate you.
