[Commissioned by @listmaker-lastcity The last of the d20 Modern Core Rulebook fiends, these guys have official art! In a different product! This piece was in the Urban Arcana sourcebook, illustrating the gotthammer angel. Who’s a CR 15 versus the CR 6 blade fiend, so poor Skinhusker here is woefully outclassed.]
Div, Tawrich CR 6 NE Outsider (extraplanar) This devilish looking creature is the size of an ogre, with horns, fangs and red skin. Its body looks wasted and gaunt, the bones visible beneath the skin. Its arms end not in hands, but long jagged blades.
A tawrich is sometimes called a skinhusker or blade fiend. They are divs of destruction, compelled to seek out and destroy sacred objects. This can be used against them, as they will spend a round or two hacking at a holy symbol or altar if they see it, allowing their victims to have time to flee or regroup. This compulsion is similar to that of wrecker demons, and the two species may compete with each other for the most objects destroyed if they are in the same locale.
Tawriches live for combat, as they find destroying lives almost as satisfying as destroying works of religious value. Their arms are as keen as longswords, and they can pull apart foes struck by them. Worse, their touch causes damage reduction to dwindle, and a tawrich is both feared and valued by many other divs for that reason. They might serve as sappers when conjured, because they can cause stone walls and iron gates to be as fragile as glass with a few swings. They can even be used to dig tunnels, although most tawriches resent such work and must be well compensated in holy texts and icons to destroy in order to agree to such a menial task.
A tawrich stands nine feet tall and weighs 350 pounds. Although they have sharp horns and needle-like teeth, these are primarily used for intimidation, not as weapons.
