I don’t think you can line up attacks, but you CAN pause. They paused when placing their fireball spell. :D
Hmmm well that just sounds more like how mass effect was with biotics? Â Which I spectacularly suck at as well, because as an RPG-lover I was never really into shooters or things that require aim and reflexes and stuff. Â I like hack n' slash stuff even less (one reason I could never really get into skyrim, which also let you pause for spells, but which I also spectacularly suck at).
I always loved RPGs because I could actually beat them without it ever being a game of "how much adrenaline can I handle before I pass out" so seeing one of my favorite RPGs push from the kind of gameplay genre I like best to the one I like least is extremely discouraging ;-;Â
I'm not going to go all doom n' gloom over it since we're still early on with limited information, but I'm definitely keeping my fingers crossed for different modes for different kinds of players
but if I can't beat this game cause they decided to genre-hop mid-series I'm going to be the unhappiest person ever I s2g
