With a mouthwatering Honey Whiskey BBQ Glaze, these Herb Marinated Beef Skewers will make your taste buds dance. These skewers are a hit at any barbecue because the sweet and smoky glaze goes so well with the savory herbs.
Ingredients: 1.5 lbs beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes. 1/4 cup olive oil. 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped. 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped. Salt and pepper to taste. Wooden skewers, soaked in water. 1/2 cup honey. 1/4 cup whiskey. 1/4 cup ketchup. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard. 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika.
Instructions: In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper to create the marinade. Place the beef cubes in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag, ensuring the beef is well-coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated beef cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers, alternating with your favorite vegetables if desired. In a small saucepan, combine honey, whiskey, ketchup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and smoked paprika. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the glaze thickens slightly. Grill the beef skewers for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef reaches your desired level of doneness. Brush the skewers with the Honey Whiskey BBQ Glaze during the last few minutes of grilling, allowing the glaze to caramelize on the meat. Remove skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve the Herb Marinated Beef Skewers with extra Honey Whiskey BBQ Glaze on the side for dipping.
