Jonerys Christmas Cards 2020 1/?

So... I know I waited a little bit with starting to post these this year but hopefully it’s worth it! I’m not sure how many I will do just yet but I have at least another 2 yet to come.

First of all, I love this question, thank you!

Second, I have a lot of favorites. But if I had to say the most fitting, I really like Rhaella, for Daenerys's mother and Jon's grandmother for a baby girl. For a boy, I actually love Aemon the most. The only family Jon had from his father's side, and it shaped him so much without him realizing they were family. I like to imagine Daenerys learning about Aemon from Jon after his revelation about his true identity but before they have their child. I imagine she would have wanted desperately to have had the chance to meet him.

DAY TWO (Tuesday, July 28th)

So it was a super small and private Blessing ceremony done at the Sept of Baelor. Maybe because it’s a girl or maybe the Royal couple just didn’t want the fanfare. So Ser Barristan came and the baby’s godparents, Robb and Margaery and also Arya Stark. Dany doesn’t really like the rest of the Starks. Not Catelyn or Sansa or Bran.

Also the Official Baby Blessing (Christening) portraits. So weird that the baby is blessed in the way of the Seven. Jon worshipped the Old Gods and Dany doesn’t worship any Gods. But well the majority of the people in Westeros worshipped the Seven.

 Alys Lyanna Targaryen, Lady Commander of the Nights Watch, Child of Fire and Ice, The Princess of The Frost, Winter’s Dragon.

Alys is the twin sister of Aemon and the first and youngest Lady Commander of the Night’s Watch. Only two minutes younger than Aemon, Alys was born in the comfort of Kings Landing, being placed in the arms of her mother soon after birth, a quiet and timid baby, Alys only cried to be fed, changed, or loved. She was often used to calm Aemon, Daenerys would often lay her in her brother’s crib and marvel how Alys would cuddle her brother and sooth his cries.
