Hi! What is the size difference between Bucky and Steve in Targeting? Loved the story so much by the way!!!!
ooh thank you for asking this and reminding me of this. even though cevans and sebstan are almost the exact same height, when writing targeting, i wrote the characters with their comic book height difference in mind. you know, for Reasons. so Bucky is about 5’9” and Steve is about 6’2”.

HI long time fan of your writing and serial re-reader of targeting (it's seriously my favorite fic ever i've lost track of how many times i've read it now and read it again every time football season rolls around in the fall). because i love it so much i have compiled a too long playlist but i wanted to share with you a couple of songs that always make think of targeting (esp targeting bucky<3) -- big star by lorde, hot & heavy by lucy dacus, winter 05 by ra ra riot, crush by the smashing pumpkins, and maybe love by weyes blood!!! oh my gosh did you just send me a bunch of targeting songs!!!! you’re the best, thank you SO much! i just listened to all of them and they’re truly perfect (I think my favorite is winter 05???) I just re-read Targeting again and it occurred to me that Eli and Bucky would be co-workers once Bucky starts coaching, right? So like… work besties?? Idk I see all these work bestie reels on Instagram and thought that would be funny
Eli and Bucky are absolutely work besties. Eli sometimes talks about more technical medical stuff re: athletic training and Bucky is like “i have no fucking idea what you’re talking about but that’s awesome”. They start a fantasy football league and refuse to draft Steve or sam and tell them so often. (sam: “that’s a funny way to say you suck at fantasy football.”) Eli drafts his brother way higher than he should and isn’t sorry.
(They met at least once in the comic and ofc Eli was an actual child in that setting and Bucky was like, a begrudging enabler. I think that relationship must translate in targeting as Bucky always the begrudging enabler with Eli’s kids.)
The Falcons just beat the Giants- how much shit do you think Sam would give Bucky and Steve? XD

my friend and i (@ babybuckys and @ rpluseds on twitter) are the biggest fans of targeting and quite literally never shut up about it, so thank you for the best fic we have ever read. also, we were curious, if you haven’t answered this already, how do you image the layout/floorplan of steve’s house in the fic?

One: how sick of Targeting are you? I might have a remix idea for it (in regards to that post you just reblogged) but I'd hate to annoy you with an old work if you don't like it anymore sajdkhksadh Two (if the answer to One is Not that much): if you could go back and change anything about targeting, what would it be?
i don’t think i’ll ever be sick of targeting. there are parts of it i like and dislike and over the years the parts i like and dislike may change, but i love those dumb jocks with all my heart. also the college football national championship is next week. so i love targeting extra <3 right now.

i was reminded this week of the targeting commenter who once told me they “didn’t notice any sexual tension between steve and ice” and i wanna know, were the foot rubs and the partner stretching too subtle, or
i Wasn’t that commenter who missed the sexual tension between ice and steve but i’ll be honest the first time i read it i just thought it was typical football player lowkey homoeroticism and didn’t think much of it past that. you said foot rubs and partner stretches and my dumb gay artist ass was like yeah that’s normal Jock stuff right?
lmaoooooooo fair point! this commenter also said other, douchier things, so to you and anyone else who didn’t notice steve/ice UST, but still like them: thats fair, and the foot rubs are Pretty Gay, and that was On Purpose lol.
also since you brought it up and i’m thinking about it again, it was also on purpose that Ice was the one who really had to accept bucky at the end. he was steves most important relationship at that point and he loved steve enough to be objective about bucky (and thank god for that because none of us are objective about bucky amirite)
