Tapely is shutting down

Dear Tapely users,

There is no easy way to say this but Tapely will be shutting down over the next few weeks.

Over the past three years, Tapely grew into a passionate community that spawned more than 50,000 mixtapes. Each month thousands of users listened to more than 500,000 songs. We were blown away by the creativity and quality of mixtapes that our users crafted.

Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to reach the escape velocity necessary to be a large, relevant service in the (very tough) music industry. The decision to shut down was difficult but is inevitable for a small startup like us.

On behalf of the team and myself, I want to sincerely thank you for being part of this journey. Your support and incredible feedback kept us going all these years. If you are looking for another music service to find playlists I'd recommend 8tracks.com.

So long mixtapers, it has been a wild ride.

Hey ya there folks. We here at Doombox1984 have been trying to spread the good tunes to the masses by posting a playlist (basically a photo) on our Instagram (which, if you aren’t following, you totes should be). Only issue was that there was really no platform for us to get the music to you so you’d basically have to YouTube/Spotify/hope that your parents have the record somewhere in their collection which is way too much work for you. Now, there’s a solution to all that. We have our Mixtape Mondaze up at tapely.com! So please mosey on over there if you’re bored and hit play on that bitch!
