Majolica hand painted luncheon set - 2 place settings - yellow sunflowers - trimmed in blue - earthenware pottery for just $250.00 Setting the mood with a majolica, 2, three piece place setting of hand made pottery. Hand painted, bright yellow sunflowers against blue design. Perfect set for an intimate or charming luncheon. Could be a dessert set as well. There are 2 plates, 2 bowls (one is round and one is squared) and 2 small plates. I use materials that are food safe, you may want to hand wash as I cannot guarantee their outcome in a dish washer. SIZE: 2-large plates: 7" x 7" depth is around .75" 2-small plates are 3.75" x 3.75" depth is around .75" 2-Bowls: 4.5" across the rims and stand 2.5" high > holds about a cup and a half. > (one is round and one is a squared round) Each piece of pottery is made in my front porch studio. Though small I make it work, but I make in stages. I fill a bisque kiln with green ware, raw dried clay. Once the greenware has gone through a bisque fire and removed from kiln the studio is cleaned up as I prepare to hand dip each piece. I can only dip as many as I have room for, so I may dip a part of the bisque ware at the time and as pieces are finished with painting and put in kiln in wait for the glaze fire, I will then glaze more. When the kiln is full I glaze fire this takes approximately 10 hours plus time to cool, because I like to warm up everything for about 6 hours before raising the temps.
