I was racking my brain to work out what this model tank was from Dragon Models, just one of several tanks placed in the store today. With no label as such and a similar look to the rare super heavy Panzer 'Maus'. I had to do a bit of digging around the Intranet. It seems that this is a model of the E100 or Tiger Maus. A proposed super heavy tank that never really got off the ground, although one incomplete chassis prototype was built. I think this model company has slightly exaggerated in their design and made this model tank look very battle ready. The reality was that trying to put together a 140 tonne monster was a stretch even for the 3 designers who worked on it after 1944. I can just imagine the conversation between the leadership and the design crew... 'So how's the new secret weapon, the Tiger Maus going?...O it's going to be an amazing model in 70 years time!' Roaring like a Maus the model E100 is here @tally.ho.chap 🐯 🐭 #dragonmodels #e100 #panzer #tankmodels #tanks #worldoftanks #worldwar2 #wwii #ww2 #tallyhochap (at Tally Ho Chap) https://www.instagram.com/p/BweklUglM6f/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=jpsh94gosjy7
