Tangerine King
Succumbing to slumber; a swirling cyclone prefaces the prologue before the cloudy curtain reveals a sureal dream. A citrus circus unfolds; the ringleader a tangerine king. He spouts inconsistencies and covers inadequacies. His rind is leathered and fruit flies fester. Yet, he proclaims his superiority and deems himself a delicacy. Others converge into crates; conforming and transforming; spouting mandarinese. A sacrificial scene; a subtle scheme gathering political steam. The crates converge, merge, and are conveyed beyond the curtain; where, eventually, cheers will become screams. A haunting horror emerges. A feast; reminiscent of soylent green; gelatinous juices feeding hypocrisy and greed.
