I sincerely apologize for the lack of updates. I've been trying to get my things ready for college as well as for AnimeFest next weekend while working at the same time. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. Call me a baby but I've never been away from my mom for more than a week. One of the reasons I don't like this is because my mom can barely walk and needs help with some things that may be simple to us(bending down, walking a couple of feet, etc). She and I own a RV park together and it's amazing how strong she is, both mentally and physically, because she's always trying to take care of the park and me. I can only imagine how hard it has been for her ever since my dad passed away my freshman year. I'm going to miss her and I'm not allowed to come home for at least 3 weeks. My honors college dean and assistant dean said this because they don't want us to get home sick, go home, and never come back. I understand this completely and agree with their reasoning bit it still hurts knowing I can't be home to help my mom. On another 'happier' note, I think I'm going to design my roommate and I name things for our apartment door. Harry Potter themed. And, since we're in the honors college, I was thinking of putting Luna's quote "wit beyond measure is a man's greatest treasure."
