Well, seems Tamberlane is back in action....
#Tamberlane Page 480 has been uploaded for ALL PATRONS! Enjoy the reveal and return to form! This one is, as they say, one of the dooziest o
Glad the author is doing well and all that. And glad it's back
Let's be a bit contrary to the endless praise and glazing of this comic, shall we? Here is a hot take:
Nothing that happens in this scene could possibly make up for the horrible pacing and meandering of this chapter. I said it a million times, but the ENTIRE STORY was derailed and the main cast was thrown out the window. For this apparently????
What on earth is so vital about this page I wonder?( Guess we will find out when the entire scene is out to public)
Full scene is not yet public yet I somehow doubt that its is gonna be imporatnt, given how the rest of the chapter was. Feels more like overhyping a big nothing that is irrelvaent to the plot.
I do hope I am wrong and being cynical, yet I see no prior evidence. And frankly, like I said, nothing could make up for this shitty as pacing and excessive meandering? (4 years and 165 pages, like multiple chapters of a graphic novel worth, for what? dragging out the same plot points?)
What is this "doozy of doozies" or whatever? That Kira's parents died? As if we did not know that? As if its not already in her character bio or whatever? It's so weird this "huge reveal" even belongs to Kira, she is not even important to the story! Even less than Cur. She was barely even in Chapter 5 execepti the start of it and now the end of it!
(See? From the start of chapter 4, page 188. We already know this info, did the authors forget? What is the "new angle" that suddenly changes everything, I wonder)
Is just so VITAL to the story we have a dragged-out subplot in the middle of all the other things going on about side characters no one but maybe 5-10 people in the server actually give a shit about!
And like...why on earth are these reveals not relating to the main protagonists or coming from them, especially considering all the big hints and such to Tamberlane's origins in the end of chapter 4? (her flashback, the mysterious figure saving her, mentions of her previous caretaker "Vee")
No, screw her and screw teh maic chracter and main plot! Cameos galore ( I am fine iwth cameos if they are backgroudn but why give a paid cahracter a role in the main plot?)
Writing is hard.
Their bullshit excuse for their own bad pacing and storytelling choices! Complete hubris! If its so bad you have to make a post like this, acknowledge how stupidly long and dragged out this chapter is with nothing happening... maybe consider tightening the focus or removing/ shortening scenes?
No way all this is necessary! Like the cat sibligns yabbering for like ten pages on end:
Jason "I didn't think it would take this long so I didn't put on a jacket" Bard
Or the fucking foxes doibg breathign excerises, during another poinltess subplot where a hoard of side characters and cameos search for yet another pointless side characetr no one really likes (outside of the Discord) with neither hide nor hare of a single one of the main family:
The student becomes the teacher.
Pure hubris.
Surely indie comic creators can do no wrong at all, and can never, ever, possilby make bad decisions? Surely is impossilbe that the pacing just simply suck? (this is sarcasm)
