When I started answering this the alt text wasn’t showing up for me, but I took so long to answer it’s showing up now. But, I already made this weird little tutorial for alt text (on the app, idk how desktop or mobile browser works), so I’m posting it anyways.
When you look at the post in edit mode, there will be a little meatball menu in the bottom right of the picture. When there’s alt text added, the dots of the meatball menu will be blue. When there’s no alt text, the dots will be white. Click on the meatball menu.
Then this screen will pop up. Click on add alt text.
This editor will open. The blueberry pancakes text shows up as an example. Click on it and start typing, or paste the description. With alt text you don’t need the bit at the beginning and end to say it’s a description like in a separate image description. Sometimes the clicking is buggy. After you hit done, the dots of the meatball menu in the bottom right of the corner will be blue if the alt text saved.
After you hit save on the post, you should see the little alt text icon in the bottom left of the picture
Tumblr sometimes sucks, and if you can’t get alt text to work, you can also just put the image description in the main body of the post.
So…how’s the bread?
I will commence baking in 4-5 hours when my roommates are asleep. They don’t need to witness tumblr’s monstrosity

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup mashed banana
1/4 milk
1 tsp lemon juice
2 cups flour
1.5 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, than bananas, milk, and lemon juice.
Mix together dry ingredients and add them to wet ingredients. Bake at 350f for about an hour

bc of you ive become obsessed with making bread. ive made banana bread, *4 loaves* of apple bread (it was the favorite so i made more), and i recently pulled out my moms old ass bread maker and im gonna make real bread as soon as some new parts come in

I think you might have made some sort of clay.
If you put high amount of sugars in bread-flour you get clay that dries to air.
wait... you got no flour or very little...
