Hear me out......
modern au where apple guy's lowkey fucked up but we dont need to talk about that
Raymun who wanted desperately for Dunk to be the one knight him during the trial of seven and mourns his missed opportunity. So when he hears of Dunks imminent departure he comes to his camp in the dead of night and gets on his knees infront of him pleading with Dunk to knight him again as one last good bye.
Dunk can't stand the guilt of having such an honest amazing man like Raymun, who is more of a knight then he'll ever be beg for his approval. So he confesses, watching Raymuns face, waiting for the betrayal to hit those deep brown eyes but it never does.
For some reason Raymun doesn’t stand, even after Dunk starts begging him to, "If anyone should be kneeling it should be me, please stand".
But Raymun doesn’t judge him. He could never judge a man like Dunk: a man who was willing to die for what was right. He'd realized that maybe knighthood wasn't what he'd thought it'd be after he himself had been knighted and he felt no different then before. That's why he had sought Dunk out in the first place, he seemed like the best example of a knight he could think of.
Well that's not the only reason he sought Dunk out at such a late hour... if he cannot be reknighted then he can move on to his other reason for coming.
So no he doesn't get angry and he certainly doesn’t stand.
Instead he presses his face into Dunks thigh, pins him so he's flush against the tree behind him, and looks up at him through his long thick lashes, slightly flushed.
The young knight paws at the laces of his breeches, and it takes all of Dunks self control to not bury his fingers in those pretty brown curls.
"Forget the reason. I want to be on my knees for you Dunk... please allow me to do this for you? Please...?"
How could Dunk ever deny him that?
