Compared to the regular bolo the talibong is a little bit longer. The shape is designed for a heavy-tip so the blade it can develop it’s full power at the first third of the top while chopping. The weight of the aluminium training sword is lower than the one of the real talibong.
This modell has a really personal background for me: the talibong has the same shape like the one which my filipino grandfahther bequeathed to me before he passed away.

Visayas sword || Talibon(g)
It was (most likely) the blade used by the Pulahan/Dios-Dios group in the Visayas. Pulahans were a religious revival group covering folk catholicism and philippine mythology. Aside from that, they were also made up of ferocious fighters who were experts in hand to hand combat.
Anyway, this sword is loud (referencing to the war cries the pulahans used) and he’s more of a do now plan later kind of guy. (Pulahans were noted to be lacking in strategy) But he does chores well. Because it’s also used for chores like chopping meat, cutting tall grass.
