Umm... In the books where they are 'meant to be' Jocelyn and Luke are not interracial. In the TV series nothing is 'meant to be' because we already know that TV canon will be different. Also, Jocelyn may not even be dead. Also, there are few other interracial couples in the show. So... in conclusion... I may not completely agree with the way they decided to take Jocelyn out (which they did to give Clary's and Luke's stories more dramatic development) but I don't think it was racism...

In the books, they were a white pairing and they ended up together. Both of them survived. In the show, they chose to racebend Luke, which was great and we had a great, healthy interracial couple between Jocelyn and Luke. We rarely see healthy pairings between black men and white women in media. Then they choose to brutally murder Jocelyn, therefore shelving the Jocelyn/Luke relationship. So the white couple got to live happily ever after, but the interracial couple? No, it’s over. If you don’t see the racism in that, then you’re being intentionally ignorant.

‘you don’t know anything about the show’ was the key point of your message. just because you see cultural appropriation a lot - it still does not give you a permit to bash on something you didn’t even bother to research.

The only way I’d be pleasantly surprised with this show now would be if Elizabeth fails to move on with either of new guys (as I’m sure the show would be pushing for ‘moving on’ agenda and ‘you deserve happiness’ and ‘your son needs a father’ stuff) but eventually she’ll cave for some non-romantic reason like ‘it’s my duty’ and right when she’s at the altar - Jack will show up. Just having recovered from amnesia and been healed by an Indian tribe. And the only thing he’d remembered is her...

I get people are upset, of course, but I’ll never understand why people want Jack to come back.  Dan left.  Dan is done with the show.  Why would you want someone who clearly doesn’t want to be there to come back?  It sucks that he possibly completely changed the way the show was headed but there’s nothing that can be done about it.

There probably will be a lot of hesitation for Elizabeth to move on but she will move on eventually and hopefully fans will be okay with it and embrace the new relationship.  Jack is dead and that’s Dan’s own fault.  Time to accept it and get over it because that’s the reality for the show now.

Fracture would hurt less and if you don’t feel additional pain when you move it most likely means that you don’t have a broken bone. Still, you might have a fracture or serious hematoma, you need to apply something anti-inflammatory and treat the broken blood vessels as well. And walk less for a while, don’t run extra blood along the hurt tissue.
