taking a min to really MAKE SURE!! i’m getting chars right + taking time to enjoy my posts bc I got stressed about having things in my queue again and that's a big no!!! 

alright so i’m a senior in high school and i’ve more or less been involved in theatre for the past two years (i’m a chorus kid at heart) and the one thing that peeves me to no. end. is that all these kids are like ‘uwu haha theatre is a cult!!1!’ and like i get that these kids are having fun but also it is not. healthy. for you guys to suck yourself into theatre and throw your entire identity into theatre because it will destroy your relationships with people who are outside of theatre and you really won’t be able to function outside your space you’ve created in the theatre. i’ve seen it happen to everyone who has endorsed this whole ‘cult’ mess. i’m not trying to discourage y’all from having a good time, just be careful to not throw your whole identity into just one thing. have fun, enjoy shows, be in shows, show off your talent but kill the cringey theatre ‘cult’ trend because it’s not helping anyone.
