Tali wracks her brain about what those words could have even meant. It was a simple enough concept, but she had apparently missed when their less than innocent meetings had evolved into something else. Garrus was her best friend. Of course she cared about him, but when had it become more? It was unusual for feelings to simply sneak up on her like that. It wasn’t a feeling she was sure she particularly liked.

 She paces her cabin, but stops short as the door slides open. She turns and sees Garrus standing there, giving her a pensive but playfully cocky look.

“So this is all just for my body?” He moved closer to her and reached out to place his hands on her hips.

 Tali’s body seemed to move on it’s own, melting against his as she stood before him. For once she was glad he couldn’t see her face, knowing a deep blush was settling on her cheeks. “That’s what I said, isn’t it?”

 “Again, you wound me, Tali.” His arms snake around her as he slowly moves the two toward the bed. His eyes lock onto hers, boring through the violet lens.

 “You said-“

 “I know very well what I said.”

“You meant it?” She puts up no resistance as he lowers her down to the bed.

“Every word. If that’s what you want.”

 “To come back to /you/? Garrus, how could I not want that? But this is war and there could be casualties.”

 “We’ll just have to make sure there aren’t any this time.” His hands move up to her helmet and wait for her nod of approval before pulling free the visor. She begins to speak but he kisses her fiercely before her words even form. As they lay back on the bed he pulls away just far enough to speak.

 “I want to be with you, Tali’Zorah. I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure we both come back from this. I’m not ready to give up on this idea.”
