MY 5 FAVORITE MOMENTS IN EPISODE 23 (manga chaps 26 and 27):

1) All should kneel before the Queen Slender Madame Foreman. 

2) These guys didn’t have a chance, starting with their silly name. 

3) To be honest, in the beginning, I wasn’t all that into Sakamoto, in either the manga or the anime, but of course that has since changed so in honor of what I feel about him now, I am glad he finally made his first appearance on the show.

4) Aw, so sweet!

5) A sweet moment between Gintoki and Sakamoto, which kinda reminded me of Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam.

SHIPS TALLY:

Gintoki x Sakamoto: it’s obvious they go way back even before the wonderful Joui days flashback.

Sakamoto x Mutsu: didn’t matter that I thought Mutsu was a boy in the beginning, still thought their interaction with each other was cute and she was too good for him. 

Gintoki x Sacchan: even though Sacchan just inserted herself into the episode by providing a totally unnecessary recap of the previous episode, I will still acknowledge her obsession love for Gin-chan. 

Gintoki x Kagura: he was being super sweet and considerate to Kagura-chan who obviously doesn’t do well under the scorching sun. 

Disclaimer: Gintama is not only about shipping. Gintama is hilarious, clever, exciting, poignant, heart-breaking, loving, brilliant, and just completely unbelievably amazing.  It is only due to Sorachi-sama’s immense generosity that I am able enjoy Gintama on an extra another level, the shippy level, and I am forever grateful for that. GINTAMA IS LIFE AND LOVE.
