back in episode 25 when the winners were announced and the rivals were saying their goodbyes, subaru, who's been training to be an idol for a good portion of his life, who's been dreaming of being an idol for so long, was hesitant to step on stage when he realized that taiyou would be there with him. taiyou reassures him shortly after that he'll catch up and that gives subaru the motivation to go on that stage.

I think about how for akagumi especially, I wouldn't say that the trainees are jealous that xlamv debuted, if anything they yearn to be there with them, they're all working hard so that they can catch up to them. and xlamv will be there, they're all waiting for the others to catch up.

but obviously since they're rivals, xlamv won't stop as well, they'll keep improving, they don't want to be beaten by their rival when they finally catch up. I love that so much about vsa, how they're all friends and rivals, how they all motivate the other to improve more and more.
