Marie looked through her window in the lab and sighed. The pandemic had spread to Death City after a few months, taking out a good chunk of the population. Her and Stein had managed to haul themselves up in the lab when they noticed the disease coming into town.

The world was a haze of gray when he managed to blearilyblink his eyes open, and the thunder almost shook the entire lab with how hardit boomed, sounding like a drum of war.
