Zeta! For so long has he been away from me and now he is coming back. I wonder if he knows how much I have missed him.

The red head looked over her shoulder and zipped up her jacket, "Can I help you?"

The Sabins were poor and they knew it. They didn't have much to offer and the future wasn't looking bright for the two children, Jean-Marc and Vanessa. With Jean-Marc being 21 and able to work since the age of 13, he has been able to provide his young sister with a tutor as well as food for the family. However his father, Michel knew he had to get his daughter to marry well for hope of a better life for her. His wife, Lilly-Drew reluctantly agreed with this although she didn't fully approve of Vanessa not being told till her 18th birthday. It was a shock to her, that much was obvious. She knew exactly who they had wanted her to marry- Prince Zeta. To say she didn't like his reckless attitude was an understatement. She didn't want to marry him, she wanted to nothing short of hit him. She knew it was her future but she would do perfectly fine without him. Not that her parents took that into account. After giving the King precious family hierlooms as dowry, the Sabins sent Vanessa off to a house on the edge of the village away from civilisation in order to establish an relationship with the Prince. She was far from looking forward to it. She had arrived at the house first and unpacked in her and Zeta's room, muttering curses under her breath even though no one was there. Here for a week with delightful company. Joys. She then moved her company to the garden, reading quietly in the sun until she would be disturbed.
