In November 2020, I turned 28. I turned 28 and for the first time in my life, I was given keys to the house in Taiwan. For the first time in my life, I could come and go (within reason) and actually explore the area as I wished. I wish I could've done that sooner. But better late than never. Here's photos of: 1. Alley/street I would take to go to the nearest Starbucks. 2. The Tainan Confucian Temple. Where I watched squirrels nearly gang up on this girl and steal food from her. 3. View of my old middle school. Used to be all-girls, but my last year there was when they started accepting boys too. 4. Hiyashi Department Store. I believe it's the first department store in the city, built in 1932 during Japanese colonization. 5. Alley/street next to Fort Provinta/Chihkan Tower, a Dutch outpost built in 1653. I took this street to go to a local cafe ("Oh! Cafe" in Tainan city) to meet with a friend. 6. Pu-jei bakery. During a uhhhh bread rush. They make this buttered bread that I don't know how to translate the name of, but it's super popular and amazing when fresh. 7. Narrow Door Cafe. As the name suggests, the cafe have two entrances.
