Okay so this is like kinda complicated but basically: There's a bug species in a comic i read (comic isn't important here) called a tailmic. It's like a person sized centipede, and it disguises itself psychically as a notail (think a human that wears a mask and has antennae and that's it) now like. Imagine if the caretaker had one. The resident higher beings see through the glamour and see a giant wyrm, but everyone else? just a regular human! Why's the king so freaked out?!
PK: So your friend wears a mask 24/7.
CT: Ya
PK: And has antennae that aren’t attached to their mask or a headband.
CT: Yup
PT: And neither of these things or normal for humans to have or do ever.
CT: Not really no.
PT: So they aren’t human.
CT: They’re wearing a costume because they are a huge dork, where did you even get this idea?
