I'm thinking about how there are the terms wingkin and aviankin to describe being a winged humanoid without necessarily having any other bird features. Are there more terms like this out there for other features? I struggle to describe myself as a species because I am not a single identifiable creature, I'm a bit of an amalgamation of different features of different animals. I have a demon-like tail but I wouldn't consider myself demonkin. And I have antlers and while I may describe myself as a deer sometimes I wouldn't consider myself a deer therian. So there is wingkin, but why is there not really "tailkin" or "antlerkin" to describe these experiences?

Btw I made myself a prosthetic tail! :D It's very soft and light, and some things could be improved but I'm overall happy with it! I've been wearing it around in public for a few days now, and it's a very interesting experience that I think would be fun to document!
So, before this tail, I wore some chains around the house, and the downside of those is that they really don't look like a tail. It looks like I'm just wearing a chain wrong if I attach it like a tail.
However, since this new tail is made of fabric, and the metal wire inside it is too thin, it ends up just not heavy enough to feel when walking around! That is very inconvenient and I am looking for a way to add weight to it, or maybe even remake it entirely with better wire or chains inside!
So, chains remain as my indoors tail and this better looking one is my outdoors one!
Because of the lightness though, the tail really swings in the wind! I love that :D
It makes sense that having an actual tail would make my phantom tail go, but it's still a little sad because at least I could feel and control my tail when it wasn't real :( Tradeoffs and tradeoffs...
I gotta be very careful when walking because the tail is pretty long (even if it doesn't look like it) and it occasionally gets in between my legs -_- awkward
I get incredible species euphoria when walking by a reflective window and seeing the tail behind me <3 it's absolutely worth it
Most people do not comment on it, or if they do, the reaction is usually "oh that's so cool wow is that a tail?"
The tail is soft. Oh my Prime it's so soft
Feel free to ask any questions or tell about your own tail experiences! :D I plan to make horns next >:3
I&'m not even trying to have phantom wings and yet there's a sense of discomfort from the back of the chair pressing against my& back. A constant background thought of "give it some space", "you would have broken them were you to press so hard against them" (I& wouldn't have. I& need to stop overestimating how easy to break tailbones and wingbones are. Well... tiny wings like mine&, maybe brittle, but the tail is much like a hand. Sitting on it doesn't do it any harm.)
