“I can’t believe that… worked?” Axi laughed, she wasn’t sure if it wasthe fact they’d actually survived or the heat of this damned place getting toher but that was all she could do as she leant back against the wall. The wallonly marginally cooler than the sand she could feel through her trousers.

“So you’re tellin’ me you didn’t plan that?” The Cathar spoke up,turning to face her.

“No!” She tried to bite down on another chuckle, with little success.

“You’re really somethin’ you know that?” He shook his head, he chuckled.“And you got an infectious laugh, cut that out,”

“No!” Axi snorted, giggling as she poked his nose, “You can’t make me!”

Jaren’s laugh seemed to be mixed with a purr, his pupils dilating brieflyeven in the harsh sun, “We’ll see about that,”

Twi'lek do not! They only have eyelashes. However, ones that deal with humans a lot often paint or tattoo eyebrows on to make humans more comfy.

Gislaran’s lekku kept twitching. She needed to focus on the intelreport in front of her so she couldn’t stop to meditate to calm herself downand re-center her scrambled thoughts.

She wasn’t certain she wanted to, anyway. The SIS agent she’dbeen paired with to review the data on the mysterious events on Makeb made fora rather adorable distraction.

She’d been side-eyeing him for the past three hours. They’dcaught each other’s gaze several times. Each time, she marveled how he couldhave such a full lower lip when his upper lip nearly disappeared. Or how bothlips were framed by just the hint of stubble. Nothing like a perfectTwi’lek mouth. One of those uniquely human flaws that made them extremelyattractive, especially to a flawed Jedi like herself. 

Not that the rest of him wasn’t equally enticing. She wonderedif he was as inexperienced with matters of the flesh as she was. She’d onlybeen with a man once, and women twice, all of them secret flings and suitablyengaged and disengaged without attachments. 

But since leaving the Order for the military permanently, shehad been thinking more about matters of the flesh. She had resisted the urge tothrow herself into carnal indulgence, mostly to prove she hadn’t “fallen”from Jedi grace to selfish hedonism. She wanted it known instead that she hadmade a considered choice after Grandmaster Shan’s pronouncement that she simplywasn’t Light enough to be granted the Master status she had earned.

And now she found herself here, in a tiny office on CarrickStation, staring at Satele Shan’s son and wondering what it would be like tokiss him until they both ran out of breath. 

“Hey, Theron,” she said. “I’m still exhausted from theflight here and I could use a break. How about we order in some food and drinks?”

He shrugged. “I’ll get right on it. I could use somerefueling, too.”

During one of the first contracts Tee ever did, she was attacked by her target’s Nexu. The beast ripped apart the left half of her body, namely her face, chest, shoulder and arm. Where its claws dug in, flesh, tendon and muscle gave way. Her bones were visible after the mauling.

Tarja liked to keep tabs on interesting beings that moved through the watering holes she frequented; she was always on the lookout for new crew, after all, and she didn’t like to miss out on people with useful skills. That night, the object of her interest was another of her own kind - a blonde Cathar she’d never seen around before.

She took an indirect path to reach him - it wouldn’t do to look genuinely interested, after all - until she found herself at the cantina’s bar, near enough to the blonde stranger that she could try out some small talk.

“Huh.” Tarja spoke loudly so that her voice rose over the din of the cantina. She curled her lip and wrinkled her nose slightly, playing as though she didn’t much care whether the other Cathar was paying any attention to her or not. “Well, you ain’t the worst that I’ve seen. Kinda weird to see another one of us with, y’know-” she motioned vaguely at the blonde stranger’s snout - “a muzzle, am I right? You’d think all us baselines were extinct with all them flat-faced Juhani runnin’ around. I guess your markings ain’t all that hard on the eyes neither - all them bold splotches. Real fancy.”

Tarja shifted her weight and reclined against the bar. She drew her gaze down the stranger’s form, deliberate and appraising. Her fingers flexed distractedly, as they often did when she was weighing something in her mind.
