There wasnβt meant to be two.
For a year now heβd been preparing, had studied the family intensely, and out of the five boys had made the decision to take the second eldest child. He was 10. Still small for his age and looked like their late mother which would hopefully work in his favour when making his demands. However, the eldest brother had unexpectedly been there and got in the way. Not wanting to give in on this one chance he had taken the risk to grab both.
He lifted his gaze, resting it on the two children, both curled up in the corner, the elder holding the younger one in his arms. Thankfully while the youngest was looking incredibly scared the other had been manageable. Hopefully it would stay that way, and besides with two that would surely mean double the payoutβ¦
βRight then boys,β he said with a menacing glare which made the smaller one tuck himself even more into his older brothers side, βletβs make a call to your father, and see how much the two of you are worth!β
