Just a small disgression to ask: When you think about Taborlin’s cloak, how do you picture it? :)
Personally, I see it as kind of silvery, changing color depending on the light and movement...

1/2 Okay this one is a little out there but I really like it, so here goes. Basically the idea is that the Greystones that show up throughout the books can be used to travel through time, possibly by means of the Fae. There are numerous stories about Greystones being some ancient magical site- Ruh superstition of good luck, Bredon supposedly uses them for pagan rituals, and most importantly Kvothe's dream about standing in a circle of Greystones after his family is killed by the Chandrian.
