iâm in such a weird place with this dungeons and dragons thing like
i was approached last semester to see if i wanted to sign on as a dm for a group of people. great. yes. iâm totally fine with that. but itâs gotten a lot bigger than i really wanted it to be? like, my players, mostly freshmen, basically petitioned to make it an Official Club, and thatâs cool, because next semester i wonât even be here, but itâs just
i donât know. i never wanted this to be a great big production, and having it be an official thing is really starting to turn me off. the kickoff for this whole thing goes like this:
i have to go on a trip for like four days to check out a grad school, so i posted something on facebook saying that âoh, iâll be gone, we wonât have d&d next week.â and thatâs... not okay, apparently? like i apparently needed to âdiscuss this beforehandâ because âsince weâre official now, we donât want to be skipping meetings?â
and i admit, a large part of this is probably a pride check, because they want to have a couple of guys who literally are not even players step in as replacements while iâm gone. and thatâs fine, i guess. it should be fine. i think? i donât know. uuuugh
