They eat aluminum cans (and other sources of aluminum if you let them), and convert the energy into these oversized can tabs, which act like batteries, with the more tabs indicating and older / more well fed Tabben. When they have enough energy stored up, they transform into their next stage, (which I have not designed yet, lol. Feel free to make suggestions or add your own idea!)
