To say that the Detroit Tigers backed into the playoffs would be the understatement of the year. The once dominant force slumped hard in the second half, and perhaps no one player is a bigger personification of the Tigers’ 2025 season than Javy Baez. Entering the season, Baez’s contract looked like a mistake that had become an albatross as the six-year $140 million deal started off…

- there was a machine. I don’t know how big it was. It was massive and towering and possibly infinite. There were parts to it, that fed into it.

- there were drugs that made you more in tune with the machine? kind of analogous to Valium or barbiturates. And capsules for soap of some kind. Kind of wish the soap capsules were real cause that would’ve been so convenient. Like tiny bath bombs

- the machine itself was some kind of tower. Multiple things surrounded it. Ships? Large crane-like machines? There was lots of spilled jet fuel, stray wires and cords. The tower itself was grey and white and black. There were some dials in some places. There were massive areas so sprawling that all you could see was how dark it was inside, with just some lights in the distance.

- for some reason I was trying to Connect with the machine (in abstract terms.) It was more like trying to understand it. idk why but I think I started dressing in some mad max type fit. I think I did drugs at some point but it was no drug that exists in the real world.

- CYAN WAS THERE? AT THE END? I think I was telling them about the machine for some reason. In the dream it felt like I had grown up with it.

- I don’t remember seeing the sky at any point during the dream. either that or it was just constantly night. I didn’t see any kind of sunlight or light beyond artificial light.

- there were also aliens I think. Or some kind of non-human creatures. Some small, some Huge. One of them that took on a more caretaking position was some kind of sleek, black reptilian. They had a feminine voice and orange eyes I think. There were also some smaller guys, and all the creatures were intelligent. They were connected to the machine somehow, or possibly built the ships that were scattered around. Funny little guys. Not actually that many humans in my dream. Just me and… someone else? It was a man but I don’t remember what he was doing there.

- I knocked over a ship of some kind and busted the fuel engines and it spilled everywhere and I was so upset about it because it’s a fire hazard :(

- there was something about mothers. There was something about Bodies. something about modification, something about organs. Something about growing up.

- the whole thing felt like a scrapyard. Or a graveyard? Strange machines everywhere, dark caverns, wires connecting everything, and the Tower in the distance. I keep dreaming about impossible architecture

- honestly might try to draw some of this bc it’s the fucking Machine and it was a TOWER and to be honest I love a good tower

- the whole dream was just this sense of urgency. I was missing something. I also remember crawling through metal scaffolding, in some places incredibly high up. I also finally remember the one thing that was just out of place: a regular ass school bus that no one was on, parked somewhere
