U must be on the tumblr website if you’re on your phone or desktop. Downloading the tumblr app on desktop is an option as well to play with HTML code.

HTML code doesn’t work on the mobile tumblr app, only on the tumblr desktop app or mobile/desktop website. Switch "rich text" to "HTML"

I really love your "paper moths" theme but something is broken, for me my note count is showing twice instead of once, specifically the number only is shown twice, not the 'notes' part after. how do I fix that in the code? thank you in advance!

hi and thank you for checking out my theme! i put a lot of love into paper moths specifically so it means a lot to know that people are enjoying it!! 💜🌙💫 ON THE DOUBLE-NOTE COUNTER: i ran into this issue when i initially tried the code on my test blog and i thought the version i deployed on pastebin was the fixed version but i guess not 😅 i probably forgot to save changes or i just... pasted and uploaded old code lmao the reason why notes were appearing twice all boils down to this little line:

{NoteCount} {NoteCountWithLabel} right next to each other produces double note counts. that second one already includes the number, the comma formatting AND the note/notes label, so the first one was just redundant. two note counts gives you the janky double numbers (which is what happened here 🙈) THE FIX: so the fix is simple, just delete {NoteCount} and keep {NoteCountWithLabel} it now looks like:

bold is gone, but at least you don't get ugly double-note counts on your posts... pretty easy huh ? 😄 AS FOR FIXING IT YOURSELF: there's actually no need to worry about that! i just edited the pastebin to include the fix (tested the right code this time on my test blog 😅) and the changes are now live! you can copy the updated code here but if you've customized your copy and don't wanna re-paste everything, you can fix it manually: find the note count line in the post footer and delete the {NoteCount} part so only {NoteCountWithLabel} is left. thanks again for the message! if anyone else has any questions or concerns with my themes feel free to send me an ask and i'll try to respond asap 🌌💜

In other news I spent like 3 days last week focused entirely on making this Artfight character template for my object fellows based on whiteboard fox. I see no reason to keep it to myself, so if you wanna have fun and joy and use my funny code do so here!
