My host sister painted my nails (black)Â yesterday - something that hasn't been done since I started working at Starbucks like 3 years ago. They don't allow it because your nail polish could chip into the drinks. I continued the practice because I liked the natural look and hassle-free life of not wasting my time on accommodating to chemical beauty standards. But, darn, they look so damn pretty. All I can do is admire them. The practice is time consuming, which eliminates time spent involved in other activities. Acetone/nail polish remover ruins your nails and kills brain cells (kindof). IDK my opinion of doing one's nails is changing. WHAT ARE BEAUTY STANDARDS SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND
A Dane took me out to a museum yesterday - which was nice. I donno, there is a slight communication barrier between us. Although he was an artist and Buddhist (occasionally, as am I), I can't put a finger on why we didn't like click. WHAT PRESUPPOSES A CONNECTION SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND
(and to make this a piece that follows the rule of thirds)
I'm learning Weezer's "Island in the Sun" on ukulele. OH I also went for a bicycle ride Sunday and thought I could get away with only wearing a hoodie and long-sleeved shirt. It was deceivingly chilly although the sun was out. The ride lasted around 2 hours, mostly consisting of me contemplating why I left and if it's too late to go back and change or too early and I should stay out as long as I had planned (4 hours). Who knew they had marshes in Denmark? Not I. WHAT IS WIND AND WHY IS IT WET that I can understand though
