Here is my monthly controversial take.
You can in fact be with someone and love someone who has different political views than you. And that in no way means that you support the things they support.
This is a topic that I have seen brought up surrounding the relationship of jack and Tate. But also with other celebrities like hailie stienfield and her husband,
While I’m still a firm believer that the Hughes brothers are NOT actually M*GA and that whole situation was blown out of proportion, let’s just focus on this part for arguments sake.
If you believe that Jack Hughes is a t*ump supporter and are accusing Tate McRae of being the same bc she is dating him, I genuinely think you need to revaluate how you look at human interaction.
This argument of “you are the company you keep” is a very dull take to me. Bc it just seems like you lack the nuance to acknowledge that people can exist in the same space like mature adults while also not having every tiny detail in common.
If the basis of every connection you have in your life is what someone thinks politically and you refuse to interact with anyone who holds different views, IMO you’re not going to be able to learn anything outside of what you deem to be ‘correct’. Which to me sounds a lot like ignorance.
I think implying that Tate is M*ga bc you think the guy she’s dating is m*ga is frankly insulting to her, you’re quietly implying that she might not have opinions of her own that she can uphold by herself.
If you’re saying she’s m*ga because of something she herself has said or done that is a different story. But as far as I’m aware she’s done nothing of the sort.
In closing I don’t think either of those people are m*ga honestly, but god knows when people on the internet make up their mind they’d rather blame someone else then admit they’re wrong.
