Year Of Self might be Talk Time’s debut single, but this Los Angeles project has already made quite an imprint in the indie scene since they released the song last week. They serve up the perfect summer jam in Year of Self, a warm glowing, chill luscious slice of synth luscious, new wavey indie pop. “’Year of Self’ is a celebration & mantra for the unique thinkers with courage to live outside the box, and an ode to the astronomer Galileo,” the band explains. It’s the first single off their forthcoming 5-track EP, engineered, co-produced, and mixed by Math Bishop (Jacknife Lee, U2, Two Door Cinema Club, The Killers, Silversun Pickups).
