Fruit! This is a common species of plant bred in Hale. This red variety tastes meaty, whereas its whiter counterpart is a lot sweeter. Dragons usually eat the whole thing but us humans would likely need to scoop the more gelatinous parts out.
This is one of those species that spreads in the wild through droppings, so its very bright and appealing.
The fruit usually grows in bushes under/on the side of small cliffs. The deserts of lower Hale it grows in are harsh, very few plants grow directly in the sun. Most grow like this one.
Related to my dragon world, Hale. This is a castle, inspired by termite nests. Maybe some day I'll have to do some comics about Hale?
