16. What fanfic tropes do you avoid writing for?

Daddy kink 😬😂 Tho, I don’t really intentionally avoid writing any tropes, I just don’t write the tropes that I don’t have ideas for/don’t like. 

17. What fanfic tropes do you gravitate to writing for? 

Definitely “there was only one bed”. Also “omg they were roommates”, enemies to lovers for Drarry (an obvious one), friends to lovers for Stucky (also obvious). Oh, and of course, the good ol’ “it’s just two pals helping each other out...by wanking and kissing” 

18. Do you prefer editing as you write, or waiting until it’s finished?

Kind of both? I used to be a serial editor and would go back and edit every paragraph. But then I really had to stop because it kills your flow, so now I tend to edit scenes after I finish writing them and then, again, before I post them.

20. What feedback makes you the happiest to hear?  

ALL FEEDBACK! All the nice words you say, everything that pops up in your mind when reading my fic, even stuff like where you’re reading it, when, how you feel...just all of it. I just love hearing back from everyone who reads. 

Then, of course, people who comment on multiple chapters (thank YOU) and people who leave detailed comments (again, thank YOU), get like....I can’t even describe it. I know how hard it is to leave comments sometimes and how sometimes you don’t know what to say or are tired etc. so people who do that...like you are in my mind when I’m writing. Sure, I write fics for me, but I also write them for all of you and it truly brings me joy to know that you enjoy them  ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

24. Do you prefer AUs with the characters, or sticking to the original universe?

Ugh, I’m a stickler for canon. And it’s not even like I want to be, I just always end up thinking and ultimately writing about canon? But just you wait for next year! Me and @whiskyandwildflowers will write a hockey AU and it will be glorious.

It’s so nice to hear your writing is desired! 😭 I’ll actually write a small, fun(ny) sequel to a hat, a horse (a Hyundai), and the will to ride this week so you’ll get some more of that world! I couldn’t stop thinking about those four idiots + Nat, so you’ll be getting them all together this time!!!

33. Have you ever stopped yourself from writing something? Why? 

This can either be answered with “all the time” or “never” hahahha. I’ve definitely ‘stopped myself’ from writing down some ideas and just like randomly opening new WIP folders because if I don’t stop myself when ideas strike, I become overwhelmed with the number of unfinished things and just...not write anything in the end. 

But when I truly, truly, want to write something, I never stop myself. I do sometimes have to stop myself from making it too angsty or too ridiculously hilarious because I operate in extremes, but other than that, when I really want to write something, I do. After a lot of procrastination and putting it off and general executive dysfunction, of course. We’re not neurotypical in this house.

34. Have you felt emotional while writing a scene before? What scene was it? Answered more fully here, but short answer? ALL THE TIME! I am basically incapable of not being emotional while writing. Since I didn’t give an example in that ask, let’s just make this answer of mine obnoxiously long and let me cite this scene from a hat, a horse (a Hyundai), and the will to ride : 

“Do you remember what she did to you?” Steve had been wondering.

“Bits and pieces, fragments, an actual memory here and there,” Bucky spoke when a big ship was stirring the water below them. “Her last name means tailor. She used to tell me nomen est omen. That she would tailor me to perfection. Cut me open and sew me back better.”

Steve closed his eyes, then dropped his head onto his hands, sighing. He was going to have sugar crystals in his beard, but he didn’t care. “You’re going to need so much therapy.”

Bucky laughed. “Yeah, yeah, I will.”

“I’m going to need so much therapy.” Steve rubbed his face, thankful that they hadn’t gotten donuts or he would have had jam all over his face by now. “Not because of you. Just in general.”

“You always did have many problems,” Bucky agreed readily. Too readily.

“The biggest of which is your smartass mouth.” Steve scowled at him from his dramatic posture.

Bucky laughed again and the air felt lighter, the sun rays stronger.

“I missed you so fucking much, Bucky,” Steve told him, not turning away, not hiding. “Every day.”

Bucky’s blue eyes met Steve’s under the blue Budapest sky. “I missed you, too, Stevie.”

When I say I was bawling, I mean BAWLING.

36. What fanfic of yours has the symbolism you’re proudest of?

Oh man...is there symbolism in any of my fics?😂 I just feel like there isn’t? Idk why, but I feel like my fics aren’t “high brow” enough to have symbolism. Maybe I just don’t know what symbolism actually is.

I will say, though, that two of my most poetic fics are The Sound of Silence (an angsty Drarry fic) and Troubled Water Running Cold (an angsty Stucky fic). They have the kind of imagery and atmosphere that I always crave to write, but they are also so painful that I had to literally emotionally recover after I’d written them. Which is also why I will not be writing anything like this for the foreseeable future hahahah

Hi! No worries, you didn’t make me feel uncomfortable. I think it’s nice that you’re asking these questions but I’m not sure how much I can help. The thing is that every person experiences periods differently. And not just that, every experience can vary, meaning that one month, for example, I can have terrible cramps, and the next one I can have none. 

I, for one, usually don’t get bad cramps, they’re only a dull sort of pain and only last a day. However, I have friends who have puked from period cramps that’s how painful they were (that’s usually not normal, so a trip to the doctor is adviced). Other than that, periods can cause lower back pain, headaches, a sensitive vulva, even sensitive skin. My dentist also said it’s completely normal to have more sensitive teeth before/during your period. Like I even had my wisdom teeth grow ONLY during my period. How wild is that? 

For me, it’s actually the days before the period that are the worst. Hormonal fluctuations can be a pretty terrible thing. My mental health always gets worse before my period. A day or two before I get it, my mind is a clusterfuck of confusion: I’m distressed, anxious, unable to focus and usually very anti-social. Oh, and also, sometimes I am so, so, so fucking hungry all the time. Sometimes I crave sweets. Sometimes I crave salty snacks, it really depends. 

Basically, my point is that there is no rule on how to have a period. My advice to you would be to educate yourself on periods in general (a quick google search and about 15mins of reading will be more than enough), but ultimately, you will have to ask your girlfriend. She is the only one who can tell you what having a period is like for her and I’m sure that she would appreciate you asking. I know it’s sometimes easier to ask a stranger, but if you ask her the way you asked me I’m sure she’d be willing to share. And if she’d rather keep it to herself, don’t push it, but tell her you’re willing to listen if she changes her mind. Imo that would be the best way to go about it.

13. Share a story about your childhood 

My grandma had this shed behind her house with a lot of different tools and I wasn’t allowed to go in there. Because I don’t listen to authority, I went in anyway. I don’t even know what I was doing but I somehow managed to hit my thumb with a hammer. My nail instantly went blue, and I remember it hurting so much, but, because I wasn’t allowed to be in the shed, I had to pretend everything was fine to my grandma. I lied and told her I had to go home (our house was in the same village), so I went home just so I could cry without explaining I broke the rules :’D I’m pretty sure she knew exactly what happened. 

27. When was the last time you cried?

Think it must have been while writing my last fic. I sobbed onto my keyboard like “omg they love each other so muuuuch!” What can ya do  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

29. Where are your favourite places to shop?

I really don’t have a favourite place. I see a thing I love, I buy it. I’m simple like that. If I don’t have enough money, I don’t buy it and am sad for two days and then get over it.

30. What was the best birthday present you ever received?

I wouldn’t say I ever got an extremely amazing birthday present, but one of my most memorable ones was a present I got when I was about 7? My mum bought me a really large plush dog (larger than I was) and I still have it.

My word count on AO3 is quite low as I am incapable of writing long fics lol It’s only 83k. People legit write fics 3 times as long.

I don’t write very often, or at least not as often as I’d like. I also don’t have a routine for writing because my life just…doesn’t have any structure at all. My schedule changes day to day so it’s really hard to find a routine for basically anything. This is probably also the reason I don’t write long fics. And also that I tend to write when I want to write, which means that even when I do have time, I don’t always write.

My favourite pairing is obviously Drarry - it’s always been and will always be Drarry. I’ve been shipping them for more than 10 years now and the obsession isn’t going away any time soon. Roarmac is a close second, though, as I really enjoy writing them.

My favourite trope by far is Auror!partners. I am a giant sucker for that trope and it gets me every.single.time. 

My favourite kink…hmm…well I like to write sex that’s a bit rough, loving but still rough. I am obsessed with necks so I gotta admit choking does get me going. Also ears, lol. I have a thing for ears. I read a lot more kinks than I write, a lot more hardcore kinks tbh, but I don’t really feel like writing them? 

Right now my favourite fic of mine is The Sound of Silence, simply because there’s so much of my own emotions in there, so much of my pain in it, that I’m proud of having finished it and got it out there. (heed the warnings on this one!)

My fic with the most kudos is A Hyperactive Fruit, a Nasty Neighbour and a Love Story, which has a little bit more than 1500 kudos. Mango is simply beyond adorable. <3

Something I don’t like about my writing: my sentences often tend to be too long (unnecessarily), I always feel like I need to describe sex scenes in excruciating detail which makes it hard to maintain the balance between the emotional and the ‘mechanic’ aspect of sex :’D, my vocabulary isn’t super rich, I can’t describe settings for shit. 

Something I do like about my writing: I think I’m fairly good at dialogue, I like to imagine that I’m good at characterization, too. I’m also hilarious thankyouverymuch.
