*chin-hands* I have never read anything about your OCs but do tell me more
*dances in place* Â
Okay that’s probably because I talk about them all of never, I actually think I’ve only mentioned two of them and only once for each character? Yeah, I just dug through my old posts, I wrote one thing about Ed a while back and sent Ander a thing about Ric a few weeks or months ago or something (btw Ander I did just get your ask that’s next)
(I’m gonna throw this under a read more because pROBABLY most people don’t want to have their scrolling interrupted by me screaming about my brain babies)
So I guess I’ll talk about Synette? She’s not actually involved with dragons, but she is probably the character whose personality and backstory I have hammered out the best, so!! (also fun fact of the two friends who have actually read anything with her in it, @loud-mind loved her and the other tumblr-less friend told me to kill her, so make of that what you will)
Synette Farrunner is one of the main characters in the story I’ve been picking at off and on for ten years now, but she only made an appearance about four years back. She’s from a fun post-apocalyptic fantasy world currently at war, and her main job is basically as a trader of information. She makes it clear she’s playing both sides, which makes her remarkably and openly untrustworthy, but her intel is just so damn good and useful and she knows things that other people would never be able to find out, so both the Rebels™ and the Establishment™ have no real choice but to use her.
She started out her illustrious career as a pseudo-assassin (they’re called Bloodbringers. They’re fucked up.), then one day decided that kind of sucked because they [REDACTED], so she struck out on her own, using her pre-existing pseudo-assassin underworld contacts to get in on the world-changing gossip. When she first enters the story, it’s to bring in the news to the Rebels™that oh yeah by the way, everything that you thought you knew was wrong, might wanna rethink this whole war thing. This does not go over well, and she ends up getting sent off on an adventure to OH YEAH, PROVE! with her Rebel Captain™ ex-girlfriend Adana. Adana is her ex-girlfriend because some time before the story starts, Synette spent a few months cozying up to her and leaking Rebel™ plans to the previously mentioned Establishment™ which, as previously mentioned, everyone might be totally or at least kind of wrong about. Synette maintains she was doing her job and Adana should probably have expected that.
Basically she’s my little True Neutral, morally grey character who is quite dismayed to discover later on in the story that she has Feelings
